Hatten Cares Shares The Joy of Raya

HATTEN CARES would like to express our sincerest thanks to all the generous contributors who donated to our PRE-LOVED CLOTHES DONATION DRIVE 2013.

Held from 22 July - 4 August in Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall, Hatten Cares set up a clothes collection booth to receive clothes donations from the public. With all the kind contributions, the Hatten Cares campaign collected 270 pieces of good clothing which was donated to the residents of Pertubuhan Kebajikan Villa Harapan, a home for the physically and mentally disabled located in Duyong, Melaka.

It was heart-warming to see how gratefully the residents received the second hand clothing. For them, it was a symbol of acceptance and generosity from society as well as a chance to wear ‘new’ clothes during the festive season. To quote Cik Rosmarniza, the Secretary of Villa Harapan, “…just like everyone else, the residents also want to dress up and feel pretty or handsome during the Raya celebrations…”
